A low-pressure first hello can make a later handoff feel less new.
Families see caregivers interact with real children. Caregivers meet the families they may later serve. Children get a joyful, parent-present setting to notice a voice, a face, or a favorite activity. None of that guarantees availability, but it gives Opportino better relationship context than a profile alone.
How it works
Odds are, the face at the door has done face paint before. Theirs.
We cannot promise that the same caregiver will be available every time. We can create more chances for your child to meet relevant caregivers before a request—and show a short hello video before care so the next face may feel more familiar.
Families apply first
We learn who plans to attend: children’s ages, neighborhood, usual care windows, languages, and the kinds of backup gaps the family faces.
Opportino curates the room
We invite a broad mix of caregivers who could realistically serve the attending families. The goal is useful exposure—not three fixed introductions and not a random crowd.
Children explore caregiver-led stations
Bubbles, story corner, art, movement, building, sensory play, and ordinary routines give children many natural ways to interact. Participation is always optional.
Five stickers unlock the goody bag
Each child receives a Passport with five specially selected caregiver stations. A sticker at each station gently nudges breadth; a completed Passport earns a goody bag at the end.
Parents and caregivers privately note fit
Parents can say who they would like to meet again. Caregivers can privately confirm which families and age groups fit their experience and availability.
Your CareCircle gets smarter
CareCircle is the broader set of parent-approved Opportino caregivers who may fit your family. Play Day interactions, short intro videos, warm-up visits, and completed care help Opportino prioritize fit and familiarity where availability allows.

Fun gives children a reason to meet more than one possible caregiver.
The Passport does not ask a child to rank adults or perform comfort for us. It simply turns five brief, curated introductions into a playful mission. Parents remain nearby, children can skip any activity, and Opportino records only the factual interactions and preferences the family chooses to share.

InnerCircle + CareCircle
Two circles. Two different jobs.
InnerCircle is the up-to-three trusted people you would normally call first—for example, Grandma, your neighbor, or your regular sitter. They get a 10-minute response window when you choose that route.
CareCircle is the broader group of parent-approved Opportino caregivers who appear to fit your family. Play Days, short hello videos, warm-ups, and successful bookings help build that group over time.

Caregiver hello videos
A familiar voice can start before the front door opens.
Accepted caregivers can record a short introduction in the app for families to watch with their child. The video is not a substitute for screening or an in-person relationship. It is one more gentle way to reduce the cold start when a caregiver is new—or refresh recognition after a Play Day.

Is a Play Day drop-off childcare?
No. The first Play Days are parent-present introduction events. A parent or guardian stays on site and remains responsible for the child throughout the event.
Does Play Day guarantee a familiar caregiver later?
No. Caregiver availability, assignment fit, location, age experience, transportation, and safety requirements still decide who can accept a request. Play Days make a familiar face more possible, not guaranteed.
What happens after the event?
Parents can privately identify caregivers they would like to see again. Opportino can offer a parent-present warm-up or planned booking, and those relationships can be added to the family’s CareCircle.
